Group Reservations / Private Events

Thank you for your interest in The Soca Kitchen, we  are happy to accommodate your event. Wether it is a large / small private event or a large reservation, we are here to make the best of your event!

Below you will find some information on our packages, facilities and services.

Please note all large reservations (12+) wether it is private or not will require a sharing style set menu. See sample menu below.

The Venue

The Soca Kitchen currently has two locations in Ottawa:

  • 224 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa ON. [BEECHWOOD]
  • 151C Second Avenue. Ottawa ON. [THE GLEBE]

BEECHWOOD

Our Beechwood location, has a private section perfect for groups of 12 to 14 guests for a sit down dinner where all guests are seated in one large table. 

On this space, we can also accommodate a group of up to 18 guests for a cocktail style event.

This space can be used for non-private large reservations as well.

 

Our main dinning room at our Beechwood location, is the perfect space for groups of 50+ guests for a sit down dinner.

On this space, we can also accommodate a group of 60+ guests for a cocktail style event. 

This space can be used for non-private large reservations as well.

 

THE GLEBE

The Soca Kitchen on Second Avenue (The Glebe) can accommodate private events only, where the whole restaurant becomes your space, with exceptions during the summer months where the patio can still be used for regular reservations.

This space can accommodate up to 40 guests for a sit down dinner where all guests are seated in different groups of tables.

This location is not ideal for a cocktail style event as its narrow hallway can make it hard for guests to stand around and mingle.

 

The Menu

We understand that you would like your guests to enjoy the different flavours that Soca has to offer.

Given the nature of the menu and the sharing style of the restaurant, we can offer a sharing tapas style set menu to be shared amongst all your guests. There will be plenty of different options for everyone to enjoy including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. This tapas style set menu will come from our current dinner menu.

You can see our dinner menu by visiting our website under the DINE IN MENU tab (the menu items may change due to seasonality and product availability).

All of our menus include a glass of our house Spanish white or red wine per person. If your guests wish to have any other beverage, wine, beer or cocktail from our bar it would be an extra charge. 

  • Sit down dinner event:

For your event, your guests will have a personalized printed menu on the table for them to follow throughout the dinner.

The sharing style tapas menu consists on 8 to 10 different menu items. Each menu item is designed to be shared amongst 2 to 4 guests on the table depending on the size of each plate.

  • Cocktail style event:

The sharing style cocktail menu consists on 8 to 10 different menu items converted into small bite sized canapés. We will be providing 1 to 2 canapés of each menu item per person.

      Booking policies and fees

    Shall you be interested in hosting your event here with us; a 50% non-refundable deposit  is required in order to reserve the space for the date.

    This deposit must be paid at least two weeks prior to your event.

    If you haven't been to Soca before, we do recommend coming in to look at the space before reserving. You are welcome to come see us any time during our hours of operation.

    Our rate

    Our rate varies depending on menu changes, date, time and type of event / large reservation you are looking for. Our rate varies from $85.00 to to $115 per person plus HST and 18% gratuity.  ***Please note, the full price of the reservation will be charged despite the number of attendees the night of the event.

    Availability and Deposits:

    Shall you be interested in hosting your event here with us; a 50% non-refundable deposit  is required in order to reserve the space for the date.

    This deposit must be paid at least two weeks prior to your event.
